Lung Cancer

Patient History:

74 year-old male with lung cancer.

 

Technique:

The study was performed with the patient in a fasting state. After an uptake time of 90 minutes, PET imaging was performed from the base of the brain to the level of the mid thigh. 

Findings:

There is increased FDG uptake that corresponds to a large mass in the superior segment of the right lower lobe.

Impression:

Abnormal FDG PET study, malignant neoplasm in the right lower lobe lung with invasion of the third right posterior rib. Also highly suspicious for metastactic disease in the right fourth rib, right lower lobe and left adrenal gland.
